The petition for writ of certiorari was filed with the Supreme Court on October
16, 2009. The cut-off date for the government to file an opposition, and for friends
of the Court to file amicus briefs for or againt granting certiorari, is November
19, 2009.
Sometiime after November 19, 2009, the Supreme Court will meet and vote whether
to hear this case or not. Four of the nine judges on the Court must vote to hear
the case for the writ to be granted.
